Marsha Pearce is the 2006 recipient
of the Rhodes Trust Rex Nettleford
Fellowship in Cultural Studies. This
website and her video documentary
were funded by the Fellowship.
Ms Pearce holds a BA First Class Honours
degree in Visual Arts with a Minor in
Linguistics from the University of the West Indies (UWI), St Augustine
campus, Trinidad. At present, she is a Cultural Studies postgraduate student at UWI. Her research explores the phenomenon of Caribbeanness.
Ms Pearce was born in Trinidad. She has several years of experience as a Graphic Artist and has taught classes in design theory, graphics software use, drawing, painting and printmaking. Marsha Pearce is a member of the International Association for Cultural Studies, the International Visual Sociology Association and The Association for Qualitative Research.
